Praha with the parents

So after Krakow, my parents came to visit me in Prague! They got in on tuesday and left again the following monday. Having them here was great. Not only did they bring me some stuff from home and pay for things, but they also gave me an excuse to finally do some of the touristy things around Prague.

We went to Prague Castle and took the short tour. I think our favorite spot in there was the Golden Lane, which is a cute little street in the castle complex with really old medieval buildings with cool stuff inside. Much to Dad's enjoyment, we skipped the toy/barbie museum, so I suppose I will have to do that another time, haha.

We also went up to Petrin Hill, where we climbed Prague's replica of the Eiffel Tower (me for the 2nd time) and saw some great views of the city. The weather was finally decent that day, so mom and dad got a little taste of how nice Prague can be when we have good weather. We walked to an old monastery with a neat library. They had strange things like a preserved carcass of a dodo bird.

Of course no visit to Prague could be complete without visiting the baby jesus statue in a church in the malé mesto. This baby has quite the wardrobe, with clothes that have been made all over the world and sent to Prague for the statue to wear. There were all sorts of funny souvenirs in the shops across the street, but we resisted the urge to buy them.

We did various other touristy things, had some nice meals, and had an overall very nice time while they were here. Their hotel was super nice, and I enjoyed mooching a free breakfast off of them.

Anyway, I'm sure there is more that I should have included in this post, but I am tired and it has been a while, so my memory is fading.
